These workshops introduced future social equity entrepreneurs to the cannabis industry and began to develop business ideas, GROmentum Lab hosted a two 2-part workshop series. Keynote speakers, panelists and exhibitors in the industry shared experiences to help ground participants' understanding about the realities of the experience working with the plant and focus on their own strengths to build their own business.

GROmentum Lab spoke at various events about the new Illinois Cannabis legalization and taxation law with an emphasis on how it impacts people in those communities and what people who are interested in taking advantage of the equity opportunities the new law brings need to do to get started.

Session #2: TUESDAY July 28th 3:30-5:00 CDT
Strategically approaching your real estate plan with Real Estate Agent Holly DuPart and zoning attorney Ian Brown from Shapiro & Associates – if you applied for Dispensary license, you did not have to secure a site, but you need to be ready to hit the ground running should you find out you won your license. If you applied to the other license types, you got this BUT due to the delays in submission, you may be stuck post July 1.
Our experts will help you create the most practical action plan based on where you are with the process so you can act quickly.
